11-28-05 and 11-29-05 Woke at 2:00 in the afternoon! I was dead to the world when I heard a knocking at my door. I opened it to find one of Capt Connors men, O'Bannon, and he said, "The Captain is waiting for y'all. It's time to make some plans". So I told him I'd be right down, and went to get some clothes on. Olivia and Alfred showed up just a few minutes after I did. We went to a conference room, where the Overlord assured us we wouldn't be disturbed, and he told us he'd have some lunch sent in. Connors was really pretty cranky about the lack of info we had to go on, but said she'd made plans with worse. She'd feel better if we had some clue as to how many people there might be, an idea as to the layout of the building and just where we were to be "inserted". Then she and her men went on and on about, snipers, surveillance cameras, kill zones, sentries, blah blah blah. They were none too amused when Olivia informed them that we would be liberating any changelings we came across. But looking at the 3 of us, I guess they decided not to push the point. Olivia, Alfred and I couldn't help but smile at each other when she told us that they would create a diversion to distract everyone while the 3 of us sneak into the Commandants office. When she wanted to know what was so funny, we told her about the last time we "had a plan". But they didn't seem to think it was as funny as we did. Soldiers, no sense of humor. Anyway, the Overlord came in and asked us if we were ready. Connors asked, again, just how we were going to get in. He said that was why he was there, to tell us to have ourselves and our gear ready to go by 4:00. Someone would be coming to take us to the embarkation point. So we broke up and went our separate ways to get ready. I went to my room to gather my gear, and to send a prayer for continued assistance to Corellon. I also tried to reassure Dorothy that we would be back, but if we didn't, to tell the Overlord to have her escorted to the "House". When I got downstairs, I saw Dallas talking to one of the Inn's "girls"; he gave her his dogtags and a grope for the road. I heard him tell her that if he didn't make it back that she should "take care" of his remains, the dogtags. He looked at Olivia and I and told us if he went down, not to go back for him, there was no way the NDR would ever take him alive. Thankfully, he didn't make us promise. As Connors, O'Bannon and Carson showed up with all their gear, a couple of taxis and a van pulled up to take us away. They drove us out to the airport, past some heavy security. We came to a stop outside an empty hanger where we saw a group of people working on…….nothing. A man stepped out of thin air and walked down some "stairs". He came over, saluted Connors, and shook hands with the rest of us. He laughed at the looks on our faces, "Like my Blackhawk?" He told us that not only was it invisible, it's invisible to radar as well. He helped us up the stairs and into it, once inside, you could see everything. It was very cool! I've got to meet the person who managed this little piece of spellcraft! He and another guy, who'd already been inside, told us what the plan was. Real simple, they were going to fly us in over the warehouse, and we were going to jump out of the helicopter. With no parachute. "A parachute?" he said when I asked, "A parachute won't do you any good, you'll only be 100 feet off the ground," He thought that was pretty funny, I didn't. I'm not Olivia, I don't have her magic, I can't fly! But I imagine I could fall real well. He tried to make us feel better by telling us we were going to practice a couple times. Oh goody! Not only do I get to jump out of a helicopter; I get to do it more than once! So they fitted us all with harnesses that had clips and stuff all over them, and they gave Olivia a flight vest to stuff Otsune in. Otsune looked even more unhappy than I did. Then they made us practice jumping out while still on the ground; we had to know exactly where the struts were. "Wouldn't want to bounce off one of them on the way down now would, ya?" After we'd done that a few times, they explained we would be attached to ropes, attached to the helicopter. The ropes would have something called a descender on it and that's what we would use to control our speed on the way down. After we hit (oooh! I just love that word!) the roof we unclip from our harness and run. How fun! I couldn't help but notice that Connors and her men thought this was all pretty funny, even Alfred thought that all this was "cool". Men! So they took us up in the air and over an area that had an outline of the building that we'd be landing on. Olivia went first. Then they guy said it was my turn, as I stepped up to the door I sent a little reminder to Corellon that I would never be able to build Him a Temple if I was a puddle. And I don't know how, but I did it. I jumped out of that twice-damned helicopter. I was squeezing the descender so tight Olivia had to yell up at me, "If you don't get down here soon, Alfred's going to land on you!" So I loosened my grip enough to speed up a little bit. Alfred, the big showoff came zipping right down. The guy on the roof said "Good! Let's do it again." "Again?" "Yep and this time we're going to simulate battle conditions" and he handed us all paintball guns. This time when Olivia hit the "roof", he was there in her face yelling instructions. If you ask me, he's seen "Officer and a Gentlemen" too many times. Olivia injured one "guard" but was killed by another. I was able to keep my wits a bit better this time and actually "killed" one and "injured" another. Alfred totally missed all his targets. By then Connors and her men were lending some support. The next attempt was set up as if the enemy had sentries with a timetable and Olivia was spotted right away so we wouldn't have had enough time to get the rest of us down safely. As we were flying in for the next try, Olivia said she could make us all invisible for this part of the attack. But the guy in the helicopter with us pointed out that if they had any heat sensors or motion detectors on the roof it would be a waste of energy. So we thought about it some more, and she said she could cast spells on herself, Carson and O'Bannon that would help protect them from bullets. And I was pretty sure I could work some sort of magic to improve my armor and give Alfred some more protection, too. And by using more energy I could do the same for Dallas. But he looked me in the eye and said, "Don't bother. You're our only medic on this little trip, save your energy for that". I felt awful, but nodded at him and thought to myself "We'll just see about that". On the next trip, as soon as Olivia hit the ground, "alarms" went off and a large group of sentries moved in. So Olivia looked at the DI, pointed a finger at the enemy sentries and said "I throw a fireball at them". They must have been in the Market yesterday, ' cuz some of them flinched at that. The DI had to admit they'd all be dead, so they dropped. But after we were all down, a guy came up and said that he'd "been in the Juggernaut" and was able to send a SAM at the helicopter and those who didn't die in the air would have been killed when the flaming wreckage hit us on the roof. The DI said that they had "cheated" on this one just to show us how wrong things can go. But "Hey! You all did much better than we thought you would! Let's go get some chow!" Dinner was actually quite nice, but when they brought out a special liqueur "just for us", I leaned over and whispered to Olivia, "Does this have that 'Last Meal' kinda feel to you?" She nodded as we accepted the drink. Whew! Was it good. I could feel energy flowing back into me. Our pilot told me that it's made by the same Mage who'd done the spells to hide the helicopter from radar. Dinner also turned out to be quite productive for Olivia; she got her first Human convert to Crom! Seems Dallas was quite interested in what she told him. After dinner they showed us on a map, exactly where we had to be at 3:15. A reststop on a service road 10 miles south of the target. Once again, they emphasized that we had to be there by 3:15, no later. So they wished us well and we took off. The pilot signaled us when we were about 5 minutes out so Olivia and I could place our spells. This time, Dallas went first, with nightvision goggles that Olivia and I just had to laugh at, "we've got our own version of those". When he signaled that he was down, Olivia went, then me, and then Alfred followed by the rest and our gear. We all made it down in one piece, and the helicopter made it safely away. We spotted some sentries on the ground, but there was no reaction from them. Olivia and I both spotted some small, wheeled things cruising around the perimeter, I pointed them out to Connors and after she adjusted her goggles she nodded and whispered, "Armed sentry robots" O'Bannon spotted something by the communications array that looked like an entrance. When we got closer to the edge of the roof we noticed that the Juggernaut and some of the semis were running at an idle, making a pretty good amount of noise. How helpful of them! Carson and Dallas went off to set the "diversion". We saw Carson shoot a sentry with a neuro-gun, and with a look at each other, Olivia, and I put our guns away and pulled out our own neuro-guns. In no time at all O'Bannon had the hatch open. Olivia stuck her head down to take a listen; she could hear music, video games and one person's voice. She leaned in further, with O'Bannon holding her legs, and she could see one guy, in a closed room playing a computer game. She shot him with her neuro-gun, and O'Bannon "dropped" her into the room. She found 2 other guys sleeping on some cots in one corner of the room, shot them and signaled the rest of us to follow. The room was full of some very elaborate computer equipment, we all started to search the place, looking for anything that looked likely. Olivia was the one who found the plans; they were copies of files sent to the Commandant. One of the files was an update on the "Initial Chastisement" force they sent to Montrose yesterday. Gee! It seems that no one returned! What a pity. It went on to say "The Judgement of the Allmighty will descend upon that den of inequity tomorrow." Well, we'll just see about that, now won't we? Connors found one that read "Church Intelligence Only. 'I finally broke their encryption!'" She read on and it seems that they have broken into some DOD satellites and have access to something called "Hammer of God" Alfred found a laptop with a Lockheed Martin logo on the cover. He opened it and showed it to us all. It had a wallpaper on it that read "The sky shall rain peace" and in the corner it said "Mjolner". Olivia recognized that as the name of Thor's hammer. So we stuffed that, along with every data cartridge we could find, into Alfred's backpack. We heard some voices out in the hallway say something about this being the last quiet night for awhile. It dawned on us that it was way too quiet in the room, considering how much noise had been coming from it a few minutes ago. So Olivia had Alfred sit down, start up the computer game and yell like he was losing. The people in the hall banged on the door and yelled, "keep it down in there" and then said something about having to put up with "those people". I looked around and finally noticed there were porno magazines all over the place and dozens of empty Jolt Cola cans. These guys are definitely not Mormons. Olivia whispered to me "if we get a chance, we need to take these guys with us". Connors heard and agreed with her. Just past midnite. When the hallway got quiet again, we left the room, Olivia leading the way, me bringing up the rear. After a very short hallway we were at the opening of the warehouse. Very big, very brightly lit. In front of us we see the "Hospital", lots of medical equipment and surgical tables. Further back there was a big curtain, with some women sentries, heavily armed. We saw something that looked like an auto factory welding robot that had some heavy plate added to it and what looked to be a laser. Alfred got our attention and pointed up to the ceiling, it looked like it we should be able to get up and across that way. The ladder was closest to me and I climbed up as far as it went, grabbed onto a beam and pulled myself up. From that vantage point it looked like this would take us right to the admin offices. I climbed along the beams to a catwalk that led me to an area with lowered ceilings that I would have to crawl thru. Before I went thru the opening, I looked back, and saw that Olivia and Alfred were having trouble with the beams, so I crawled along the support area of the ceiling taking it nice and slow, giving them time to catch up. I heard some snoring below me, so I verrrry carefully lifted a ceiling panel to take a peek. There were 4 guys asleep in bunks, I turned and saw Olivia had almost caught up with me, so I signaled her and when she got there we shot all 4 of them with neuro-guns and closed the panel. Olivia sent Otsune ahead to scout for us; she found 2 empty rooms and one room with a couple in it, arguing. So Olivia headed to one of the empties and I to the other. It was just another bunkroom. Then the silence was interrupted by a huge explosion outside; I was thrown off my feet! So, this time, with the diversion already in action….we moved out, searching for the Commandant's office. I had just found an empty conference room when Otsune came prancing over to tell me Olivia had found it. I asked Otsune if she would go tell Alfred where we were headed. She told me she'd go get him and vanished. When I found Olivia, she was in the Commandants office. She had tranquilized him at his desk, locked the door and was already searching his "body". I started in on the office and she joined me. We spotted an envelope marked "Top Secret. Do not distribute. Eyes Only" and ripped it open. These were the battle plans we wanted! We also found a memo regarding a new type of "abomination" that had been seen. A young man or woman, dressed all in black, carrying what looked to be an old fashioned 6 shooter, but was really a "Demonic" weapon. So far there had been 2 encounters with these things and each time they killed only adults. The memo warned that if you manage to kill one, do NOT try to pick up the weapon. It'll explode on contact. There was a picture of the one they killed, it looked like a perfectly normal teenager, wearing a charcoal black tunic like shirt, but in the hand holding the gun you could see some kind of red glow. We took the picture with us, too. We also found some paperwork about the "Bounty Hunters" who'd been selling abominations. It seems the NDR heard about our encounter with Tony, and has issued a bounty of their own on his 2 friends. And then there was a memo from the Church Elders stating that they will soon decide the disposition of the changed in their ranks. By this time Alfred had appeared so we took it all and the Commandants laptop and added them to Alfred's backpack. Now it was about 12:45, we checked the door and heard some gunshots outside. We opened the door, checked the hallway and found some guards with their backs to us, behind a makeshift barricade, firing occasionally. Olivia handed Alfred a smoke grenade. I traded my neuro-gun for a real gun, leaned out the door and shot 2 of them, but my gun jammed on the 3rd shot, and the chamber blew right out of the body of the gun and embedded itself in the wall right next to my head! As I jumped back, Olivia snuck around and killed two more. Alfred tossed me his gun as he went charging down the hall towards the remaining guy. He seemed so shocked at the sight of Alfred that he didn't even try to defend himself 'til it was too late. We quickly looted the bodies and found another neuro-gun, 2 taser pistols and a heavy-duty riot control cattleprod. I took them all and put them in my backpack. As we turned the corner, we literally ran into Connors and O'Bannon, they were both fine. We turned as we heard more gunfire from the other side of the warehouse; we could see 8 or 10 of 'em still in there. O'Bannon laid down some cover fire while Olivia launched a fireball. 5 of them went down, the rest kinda spread out more. I took the opportunity to peek around the corner to see if there were any visible targets. One of the laser armed sentries zeroed in on me and fired. But it missed and hit the doorframe, instead. Alfred threw his smoke grenade at it. We could hear the robot fire and then recharge it's laser and fire again, but the smoke was keeping the laser from doing any harm. Olivia leaned around and aimed her zapper wand right at the things battery pack. Blew it right off. I took another peek around and couldn't see much thru the smoke, but I did see some of the big, heavy surgical tables had been knocked on their sides so I ran in and took cover behind one. From there I could see 2 more of those robot things, and some more guards outside the warehouse firing at someone, Dallas and Carson? I signaled back to the group about what I saw. Alfred started firing over my head at something, and from the screams, hit what he was aiming at. Connors came flying in and joined me behind the table. We watched as O'Bannon took careful aim and took out the laser on one of the remaining robots. And then, out of nowhere, a guard we hadn't seen popped up and opened fire with an automatic rifle, right at Alfred. All Connors and I could do was watch as he was chewed up and fell to the floor, with that guy where he was; I couldn't even get to Alfred. Olivia whipped around the corner and threw a fireball at the guy and the guards who were standing not too far behind him. They were all pretty damn close to where Connors and I were hiding, so I grabbed her and told her to stay down. I don't know how Olivia did it, but she managed to contain the fireball to the immediate area of the guards. All that Connors and I had to deal with was the table we were hiding behind being lifted and thrown by the explosion. The smoke of that explosion and the earlier smoke grenade set off the sprinkler system which shorted out the last 2 robots as I ran back to Alfred. Connors and O'Bannon started firing at the group still outside, trying to keep them outside. Olivia and I got to Alfred at almost the same moment. But we were too late, he was dead. I sent up a prayer to Corellon, to help Alfred on his way. Olivia whirled and I could sense that she was readying a fireball. And even though that's a magic I cannot accomplish, I somehow managed to "throw" my anger to her and she gathered it in and added it to hers, from the moment that it left her hands you could feel the power in it. When it exploded, it took out the entire group, close to 20 of them. She then charged down the corridor to the Commandants office and we heard two gunshots, I figured she'd killed him, but she told me later she'd kneecapped him and then taken a letter opener from the desk and carved into his chest "Die Mormon Scum". When she left I didn't even try to stop her. I wanted revenge for Alfred almost as bad as she did. Connors checked out the backpack that Alfred had been wearing, everything in it was unharmed, so she gave it to O'Bannon to carry. When Olivia came back she got a gurney and we lifted Alfred onto it. Then we went to see what was behind the mysterious curtain. We found a bunch of woman huddled behind it, all medical personnel. They immediately proclaimed that they were unarmed non-combatants and that they surrendered. Olivia grabbed the one doctor in the group and commanded that she "Fix" Alfred. She and a few nurses start to work on him while some others gathered up the equipment they would need. Dallas and Carson came in then. Carson was slightly injured, and a couple of the nurses went to work on him. Dallas went to a corner of the warehouse where they'd seen some changelings locked up, and freed them. The doctor had opened up Alfred's chest to try to repair the damage. I joined Olivia and we both appealed to our Gods to help. Using the defibrillators they got his heart beating again. I called to Corellon and begged Him for His assistance and a huge amount of power flowed thru me and into Alfred. The doctor was stunned for a few seconds, but then moved back in to sew up his chest. Olivia asked if he could be moved, and when the doctor reluctantly said "Yes, but he needs medical attention". Olivia said, "Good, you're coming with us." One of the nurses immediately volunteered to come along with us. We went outside, what a mess! The Juggernaut was slag. But the trucks were all okay; the one nurse told us that they were all full of medical supplies that had just recently arrived. I saw that one of the trucks had a sleeper cab, so Dallas and O'Bannon helped the nurse get Alfred set up in it. Then Connors sent them to go get the 3 computer guys we'd tranquilized. That's when Olivia and I noticed the changelings that Dallas had brought over. There were 3 orcs, who looked to have been teenagers when the change hit. Olivia gave them her best "taking no shit" look and asked them if they were going to behave if we took them with us. They said that since we'd killed their enemies we were their friends. So Connors gave each of them a weapon. There were also a couple of Drow. I mean an actual "couple". They were still wearing their good little Mormon clothes, so Olivia asked them if they were still Mormons or not. They said "Yes, we're still Mormons, but we denounce the Church that could do this to it's own people." That was good enough for me, so I told them that if they wanted to, they could come with us, to a place where they would be safe. They agreed. That left one, and boy was she a doozy! She was still Human, but she was green. I mean GREEN! She was this over-sexed, total bimbo looking thing, and I swear she was purring. Then it dawned on me, she was Vena, from that Star Trek episode…"The Menagerie." I could see she was "affecting" all the men in the area, and I could feel myself start to respond to her as well. Well, I was most certainly not in the mood for that kind of happy horseshit, so I got up in her face and told her "Knock that shit off! We have GOT to get out of here and you are NOT helping any!" She took a step back with a puzzled look on her face, but she stopped what ever it was that she'd been doing. So, now that the men could think of something over than their penis', we found out who could drive what truck, and started to load everybody up. But the doctor and the rest of the nurses wouldn't leave. They were taking care of the few remaining wounded. Olivia asked them if they really wanted to stay. The doctor said "I don't agree with what these people are doing, but I can't just leave them like this." I said "'these people'? You mean you're not one of them?" She told us that they were all "volunteers" who'd been forced to come here. But that didn't matter, they wouldn't leave the injured. Connors told us that we were running out of time and had to leave, with or without them. The doctor looked at me and told me if I would do what I did to Alfred, and stabilize the wounded, they would leave. Well, everyone was staring at me, what to do? After what had happened to Alfred I wasn't exactly in the mood to help these people, but on the other hand, 14 nurses and a doctor would be a real coup. "Oh all right! Get them over here " Olivia gave me quite a look, but I didn't have time to try to figure it out, Connors was tapping her watch at me. So I slapped as much healing on them as I could, and when the doctor approved, we all ran for the trucks. As soon as we got far enough away from the building Carson hit the detonator and blew the communications array. Once we were outside the perimeter, we could see that all the Bradleys and troop transports were slagged just like the Juggernaut. Dallas got another satchel charge ready and tossed it at the base of the fuel tank next to the incinerator as we drove past. We got to our extraction point at exactly 3:12. We all piled out of the trucks to look back at what we'd done, there were still fires burning. At 3:15 we could hear jet engines approaching. Then we could see 3 B-2 bombers coming in over the mountains. There were 4 or 5 HUGE explosions from where we had just come from. Followed by more, smaller explosions. The doctor had been standing over by Carson, saw it all and fainted dead away. Carson caught her just before she hit the ground. I looked at Connors and said, "Guess I should have told her about this to get her moving, huh?" but to be honest, I'd forgotten all about my suspicions when we were trying to get her moving. Then there was a low, loud rumbling and we saw some transport planes accompanied by a bunch of Apache helicopters headed west. Some of the Apaches peeled off and headed to the Grand Junction airport and a couple came to hover above us. After the others had passed, the radios in all the trucks clicked on and a voice said, "Everyone out and assume the position". Rather than argue, we all got out. The nurse taking care of Alfred climbed out holding a first aid kit so that the Red Cross was visible. She yelled, "we've got an injured man in here who can't be moved.". The voice said "Ok, but the rest of you disarm and move away from the vehicles" We did, and the helicopters landed, and troops came over to search us and verify that Alfred was indeed injured. Once they determined that we were not NDR (duh!) Connors introduced herself and they all saluted her. The voice returned "I just received a message regarding these people, let them pass, authorization 'Silver Plate'" he went on to tell us to get out of here, quick, and to stick close to home for awhile. Before the radio could click off, I yelled, "We need to talk to Jesse, right now!" Nothing happened, so Olivia started to yell, and then Connors joined in. Suddenly there was a gust of wind that almost knocked us flat, and there in front of us was an AZRAEL. The pilot appeared at the door and Olivia and I ran over. The pilot demanded to know what was going on, so Olivia told him that we needed to talk to Jesse right now, regarding Thor's Hammer. Now, I don't know if the pilot knew what that meant or if it was the urgency in her voice, but he told us to get in. He went over to a console, punched in some codes and there was Jesse's smiling face. "This had better be good" he growled at us. "Does it get any better than the Hammer of God?" we asked. That got his attention. We told him about the NDR cracking the codes and the laptop we found, and that we had the 3 techno-geeks who had done it. You could see how angry he was, "Well, we'll just have to show them an example of what the Hammer can do. Would you ladies care to witness a demonstration? Go outside and look towards the southeast." Before he could sign off, I stepped forward and said, "Excuse me, Mr. President" I don't know who looked more shocked by the formality him or Olivia. "What now?" he snapped. I said, "You seem to appreciate the importance of this information that we got for you here, tonite." "Of course I do." "Well then, you're just going to have to pay for it" He started to say something, but I cut him off. "You must remember Alfred? The very large, young Drow who was with us last week when we met with you at Cheyenne Mountain? Well, he died tonite getting that information for you. But thanks to a combination of prayer, magic and modern medicine, we were able to revive him. We've had a horrible time trying to find any kind of armor for him. So, if you could have your people find him some combat armor that fits, we'd consider this a done deal." Jesse said that he'd have someone look right into it, and he signed off. We thanked the pilot and went back to our group; a couple minutes later there was a bright, bright flash that streaked to the west. Connors said, "I think we can say goodbye to Sanctum Jacob" Then some of the troops loaded the 3 techno-geeks onto the AZRAEL and it took off. Since no one had asked us for the laptop, we just sort of……kept it. When we got back into the trucks Alfred told us that there had been a call from Montrose while we were outside. The Mayor wanted us to return to Montrose, ASAP. When we got to the barricade, the chief of police was waiting for us. He and his men escorted us in. Some of them took the trucks off for safekeeping, while some others took the doctor and the nurses to the Inn. Dallas, Carson and O'Bannon helped Alfred's nurse get him back to our rooms. The chief escorted Olivia, Connors and myself to the Mayors office. He was at a window looking out a telescope when we got there. He told us he'd seen all the "traffic" in the area, and asked if we had any luck. We showed him the plans we'd gotten, and true to his word, he allowed us to make copies to take back to Malcolm. He promised to keep us informed on what was going on, and told us the Scooby-van was ready to go when we were. Then he took a really good look at us and said "At the risk of sounding ill-mannered, you ladies are filthy, go back to the Inn, clean yourselves up and get some rest. You all deserve it." When we got out of the Mayor's office, there was a limo waiting to take us back to the Inn (I thought that was a nice touch). We were walking thru the lobby and spotted the Overlord talking to the Green Changeling we'd brought in and with him was an Elf, the first Gray we've seen, and obviously a mage. Why "obviously"? Because he was wearing Imperial Purple robes covered with embroidered moons and stars. All he needed was a pointy-hat and some Harry Potter glasses to make the look complete! The Overlord introduced all of us. Seems this guy goes by "Vaschanka The Mighty "! I could not help myself, I was so tired, I had just jumped out of a helicopter, fought in a heated battle, witnessed the strength of a super weapon that shouldn't even exist, and watched Alfred die. I lost it. I started to giggle. Could not stop myself. Vaschanka looked down his pointy little noise at Olivia and I, (which wasn't easy, since he's shorter than both of us) and said something snotty about our shabby appearance. Then he challenged Olivia's magical capability, and she snapped right back at him. But before she could hurt him, the Overlord stepped in to play peacekeeper. I just couldn't stop giggling, and to make things worse, I went to sit on a chair and totally missed! Landed on my ass in the middle of the lobby. Well, that just started me to laughing harder. Vaschanka looked down at me and said, "Pull yourself together. You're one of the People. Display a little dignity" Wrong thing to say! He just set me off, laughing harder. "I am Jacinta, the Magnificent, do not tell me how to behave!" I managed to get out between laughs. Olivia looked at him and said, "Let me guess, before the change, you were an 18 year old pimply faced geek living in your parents basement?" He stomped his foot (honestly, I swear he stomped his little, gray foot) and snapped at the Overlord "Have her washed and brought to me", and stomped out the door. That stopped the laughter, "Did he actually just say 'have her washed and brought to me'?" Now, I'm not sure just how much trouble I would be in with Corellon for throwing down on another Elf, but I was ready to follow him out the door and show him a thing or two. The Overlord must have been following my thoughts, "Yes, but he meant her" and he pointed to the Green one. "I sensed that this is not a true change, that someone has done this to her and Vaschanka was going to try to reverse it." The giggles hit again "Did you see what he was wearing?" The Overlord smirked and said that he was from Vegas, he'd seen worse. "I am Vaschanka the Mighty" I declared and rolled over in a vain attempt to try to make my stomach stop hurting. Olivia asked if he wanted the Green delivered to him so he could help her or so she could polish his knob for him. The Overlord almost laughed at that. He confirmed what Olivia had asked before, about Vaschanka living in his parents' basement, but said for all his obvious shortcomings, he is a very powerful Mage. In fact he was the one who did the magic on the helicopter that had taken us to Grand Junction. By this time I managed to get myself pretty much under control, and when Olivia asked if "The Mighty" had tried anything as simple as a dispel magic spell, I wiped the tears from my eyes and went over to the Green and did just that. There was an almost audible "pop" when the magic was released, and there in front of me was a perfectly normal, non-green human. "Where am I?" she asked. I was too tired for anything but the basics, so Olivia and I gave her those while the Overlord called Vaschanka to let him know that the "matter" had been taken care of and he wouldn't have to bother himself with it any longer. He bowed his thanks to us; told us he would get this woman a room and sent us off to ours. So with ribs, still sore from laughing, I went upstairs to thank Corellon for his help tonite and to take a bath and get some sleep. |
